Far Eastern martial arts are the main focus of our association as far as academic and practical actions are concern.

Our association is very active in many fields. We make not only academic researches but also teach old, traditional martial arts, hand-to-hand combat, appropriate use of weapon and effective self-defence. We also offer a wide range of sport trainings and workshops concerning the complete system of martial arts and the philosophy of wisdom of the warrior.

The genuine budo tradition is expressed by the pure spirit of sport; it is a way to achieve moral perfection and strengthen ones character.

We entourage you to acquaint with our activities and invite to cooperation.

Editorial

Since 11th voulme our periodical will be published [under the new title "Ido Movement for Culture. Journal of Martial Arts Anthropology"] as e-journal (quarterly) and in paper version (no. 1-4). Paper version will be published only in English, with extended abstract in Polish. In the electronic version we want publish in English and in the full text or an extended abstract in the original version. The author is fully responsible for the correction of the version in original language.

We would also like to ask for a photograph of the main author of the text.

Idea

Following the first World Scientific Congress of Combat Sports and Martial Arts (Rzeszów, September 22-24, 2006) and after two international humanistic conferences devoted to the topic of martial arts and combat sports, organized be the Faculty of Physical Education UR, an initiative of organizing the second Congress has been undertaken.

An idea of the 2^nd World Scientific Congress of Combat Sports and Martial Arts is a meeting of all researchers, who are interested in martial arts and combat sports. We intend to establish a specialized international scientific society under the name of “International Martial Arts and Combat Sports Scientific Society” (IMACSSS). Thus, we would like to invite the scientists, as well as the experts of martial arts and coaches representing the combat sports circle. There will certainly be sessions with lectures, poster sessions and workshops.
